Your recyclables could be more useful than you think; talk to your child's teacher about what items they could use in the classroom. It could be simple things like newspaper, magazines, or even milk cartons.

Teaching children to live sustainably is a task for which we are all responsible, so talk with your child's science teacher about a student garden project. Not only will students learn to work cooperatively, but the produce can also be shared with the community.

Smog and auto emissions can have terrible health effects on children, but SCDHEC's Breathe Better program aims to protect children by making school zones anti-idling areas.
